About the data
Where every listing comes from
Each agency starts from its state license record (NAIC SBS or the Ohio Department of Insurance). Facts are added only when the exact wording appears on the agency's own published pages, and each one passes a quote check and QA before it is marked verified.

How the site is designed
- 01
Evidence is a visual language, not a disclaimer
Each evidence type has have one color and shape. Solid = documented, hollow = inferred or unknown, hatched = not researched. Users learn it once and read every screen with it.
- 02
Depth ≠ quality
Research depth is a neutral three-bar meter. Sparse profiles get a calm, lighter header and a 'research status' block instead of empty sections — never a low score.
- 03
Four Agency Match assessments
Every profile carries four independent assessments: Looking to Buy, Open to Selling, Mentorship & Peer Connections and Business Partnerships. The score ids behind them are unchanged. Each shows what it measures, an Agency Match score (0-100) with a High, Medium or Low rating, a separate confidence level, the key publicly sourced facts with links, and what is still unknown. Where public information is too thin the rating is Insufficient Evidence, never Low. Unclaimed profiles read 'Based on public information · Profile not yet claimed'; after a verified claim they show 'Owner-confirmed'. Owner intent is never asserted.
- 04
Progressive disclosure
Profiles lead with summary, key facts and highlights. Every claim opens a source drawer (side sheet on desktop, bottom sheet on mobile).
- 05
Locations, not invented pins
State, documented office city and region selections update agency results directly. The available evidence does not support an accurate map, so none is used. Office locations are distinct from license records and service areas.
- 06
Mobile as its own product
Bottom tab bar, full-height filter sheet with a result count, single-column profiles with evidence as bottom sheets.
- 07
Owners are part of the product
Claim entry sits on every profile. The flow shows the owner what's on record before asking them to add anything.
